Survey Before You Buy Your New Home
There’s an increasing requirement by mortgage lenders for potential borrowers to have a roof survey carried out by an experienced roofing contractor. Not simply to determine what type of roofing materials are on your proposed new home, but to determine the condition of slates and tiles, chimneys, guttering, fascia boards, etc. Greenridge has the knowledge and experience to provide quality roof survey reports acceptable to lenders.
Assessing Roof Storm Damage for Insurance Claims
Surveys are also useful if you’ve suffered storm damage. We can assess any damage – no matter how minor, and help you if you’re submitting an insurance claim for necessary repairs. We seem to be seeing an increase in storms over recent years – including the destructive tail-ends of hurricanes that started thousands of miles away, yet still retain enough power to cause structural damage. Even a few dislodged tiles that go unnoticed can result in long term damage from rain and frost. If there’s only minor damage, it may not be worth submitting a claim as the cost of repairs may be less than the excess on your policy, we’ll advise you if that’s the case.
Greenridge roof surveys are cost-effective. We are happy to deal directly with you, or collect and return keys to estate agents. Also if any work is required and we carry out that work, we will deduct the cost of the survey from the final invoice.
You’ll find us fast and efficient in dealing with your roof survey enquiry, providing an estimate, performing the survey, and compiling the roof survey report.
